George N. Candelario
1942 – 2012

George passed away March 20, 2012, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born February 23, 1942 in Talpa, NM to Evaristo and Eutimia Candelario. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. George married Helen Gallegos in 1966.

George loved his family unconditionally, especially playing with his grandchildren. He was a hard working man – who worked as hard as he played. Wendover was a favorite get-a-way of his and Helen’s. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

George is survived by his wife; daughters, LeeAnn (Paul) Warden and Crystal (Jose) Monreal; 7 grandchildren: David, Lawrence, Joseph, Jesse, Lucas, Emilio, Aleyah; sisters, Maria Valerio, Cora (Frank) Garcia, Rosila (Lucky) Gonzales and Gloria Duran; sisters-in-law, Corina and Alice and many extended family members.

Preceded in death by his parents; son, David; brothers, Adolfo and Clodoveo and sister, Ofelia

The family would like to thank Rocky Mountain Hospice for the special attention they gave to George.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 24th, 2:00 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Road, with a viewing one hour prior to services. On-line condolences may be left at www.memorialutah.com.

    I send my thoughts to your family. Helen, I know how much you loved your husband. I have not seen any of you in many years but still have fond memories of our friendship. I could not make it to the funeral but I was with you during that time in my heart. Shanna

    To the family of George, so sorry to hear about his death, our prayers are with you. I had not seen him in a very long time but remember all the good times we had in Tooele when he got out of the Army and was staying with me for a while. Sorry I could not make it to his viewing as I was out of town. Peace be with you and your family
