Abel Yzarraraz Villa

In loving memory of Abel Yzarraraz Villa, who was born December 10, 1950, in Michoacán, Mexico.

Abel built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work. He married Yolanda Izarraraz, and together they raised five children. Their family grew to include ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.

A devoted member of Saint Ann’s Catholic Church, Abel was a hardworking and respected man whose greatest priority was family. Nothing made him happier than seeing the people he loved smiling together.

Abel loved to dance, listen to music, garden, and spend time with his family. He had a special gift for storytelling, often sharing cherished memories from his childhood in Michoacán. His stories, laughter, and wisdom created memories that his family will treasure forever.

To his children, he was an amazing father. To his grandchildren, he was the greatest and coolest grandpa. To everyone who knew him, he was a man of warmth, strength, generosity, and respect.

He is survived by his beloved wife; his five children; ten grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and many family members and friends whose lives he touched.

May his memory be a blessing, and may he rest in eternal peace.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah.

A Rosary will be recited on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 3:00 p.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 450 East 2100 South, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Interment will follow the service at Memorial Redwood Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah.
