Adam Scott Burdash

Adam Scott Burdash left us unexpectedly on October 25, 2015.  Adam burst into this world June 8, 1983, beautiful, precious and pure. He had big blue eyes and a sweet disposition - characteristics he carried into later life that both served and challenged him. Adam was an artist, a writer, a poet, and a philosopher. He was a brave explorer from an early age. Some 28 years ago, Adam first worried his parents and family by venturing into nearby neighborhoods, knocking on doors in search of leftover Halloween candy. These adventures would also follow him throughout his short life. He was fortunate to have the influence of many people in his life who guided him when he became lost, and who helped lift him when he fell.

Adam had an extraordinary imagination. He was a gifted writer and a teller of stories. He loved to sketch and draw, and had a great appreciation for the esthetic. No matter how small or humble his space, he always sought to adorn and improve upon it. Yet he was content with the simpler things in life, and had little use for material possessions.  He found beauty everywhere, but especially in the red rocks of Utah and aspens of Colorado.

He touched many lives along his journeys, leaving his signature on each of us in his own way. He was a natural caretaker, especially of children and the disabled. Perhaps it was his childlike nature, his gentle demeanor, or the warmth and kindness in his voice, but Adam had a magic about him that children loved.

Adam is survived by his mother Sue Harvey, father Kyle Burdash, brothers Jason and Eric and sister Kristen, his special Aunt Carrie, along with numerous nieces and nephews, and the many friends he collected along the way.  A celebration of life for family members and close friends with be held on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Meet Me on 33rd, located at 1565 E. 3300 S. in Salt Lake City.  Together, we mourn your loss. You will be missed.
