Adelaide "Addie" Mae Jarvis Healey

Adelaide Mae Jarvis Healey passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday, October 14, 2009 of causes incident to age.

Addie was born January 17, 1927 in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Arthur Emerson Jarvis and Lula Fife Jarvis. She married Russell Fred Healey, Sr. on Treasure Island in San Francisco, CA on June 16, 1945. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple, June 16, 1959. They had four sons. Addie is survived by her devoted husband, Russell; her sons: R. Fred, Jr. (Jill), James Emerson (Joan), Arthur Delafield, Sr. (Laurie), and Patrick Jarvis (Diane); by 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and by a brother, Jack Jarvis (Mary). She was preceded in death by a still-born son, John Lawrence, a grandson, Joshua, and by her sister, Jeanne Davis.

Addie was a convert and an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She worked in the Salt Lake Temple with Russ from 1981-1990, they also served a mission in the New Zealand Temple from 1990-1992. Addie had many talents and interests: sewing, gardening, cooking, canning, family history and especially, caring for her family. She served in many community affairs, including in the PTA at East Millcreek Elementary. Addie also worked at the University of Utah.

We would like to thank Russell for his tireless loving attention to Addie over the past few years and to Care Source Hospice for their kind service this past month.
