On October 30, 2022, Afton M Harris received her angel wings. Afton was born on March 28, 1937 to Edna and Sherman Miller in Salina, Utah. She graduated from North Sevier High School in 1955. She is survived by her loving husband of thirty years, Jack, her three children Lynnette Mickelsen (Dan), Patrick, Shazzanna Chorn (Corey) and her bonus son Jeremy Hines (Tina). She also leaves behind her beloved siblings, Frankie Miller and Sherman Cornell Miller as well as eleven grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, her three sisters; Carol, Shirley, and Sherma and two brothers in law, Ted Anderson and Bruce McDonald.
Mom taught us to be kind and helpful through her example. She will forever be remembered as our “Hot Rod Granny.” She was talented in needle and beadwork and made sure to pass on her craft to many by teaching classes and gifting her many treasures. In her honor, all of her needle and beadwork supplies will be donated to the senior care center she loved to teach at. She worked in multiple industries focusing on customer service. Her most favorite job was working at the Utah State Fair with her big sister Shirley. They had a ten-day party once a year. Afton will be cremated with plans for a celebration of life in the spring.
We will do our best to keep your memory alive, share our talents, and be kind to all we know. We love you, good day!
