Alan Scott Ziska, age 70, passed away on January 25, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family, following a brave battle with brain cancer.
Alan was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to John and Clara Ziska. He later moved to Utah, where he met the love of his life, Shellie. They were happily married for 46 years and together raised three children, who were Alan’s greatest pride and joy.
Alan was a Licensed Journeyman Electrician for more than 50 years. A true perfectionist, he took immense pride in his work and was known for his exceptional skill, precision, and dedication. A “jack of all trades,” Alan loved helping his family with projects and approached every task—no matter how big or small—with the same care and attention to detail as if it were his own.
Alan is survived by his beloved wife, Shellie; his children, Amber (Brandon) Rasmussen, Joshua (Lauren) Ziska, and Erica (Curtis) Lemon; his cherished grandchildren, Madison, Brenna, Chase, Ryder, and Paxton; and his sister, Donna Ziska. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Clara Ziska.
A private family viewing and graveside services were held.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Alan’s name to the Huntsman Cancer Institute, Neuro Department, in an effort to honor his desire to help find a cure for this devastating disease.
