With deep love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the peaceful passing of Ron Bassett.
Ron was a man of quiet strength, deep convictions, and boundless generosity. He lived a life rooted in family, nature, and service, always ready with a helping hand, a warm smile, or wonderful stories. Ron’s heart was vast as the wilderness, he loved hunting and spending time at his son’s property. He gave freely of his time and energy, always putting others before himself. His acts of kindness left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know him. Survived by 6 loving children, Rick (Karen) Bassett, Becky (Hal) Crew, Cindy (Dutch) Cassity, Michael (Paula) Bassett, Dustin (Sara) Bradford, Wendy (Dan) Fletcher, 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, sister Beverly, Cathy (Scott) Wilson, many nieces, nephews, and friends he loved dearly.
Preceded in death by mother, father, wife Mary, daughter Tammy, sister Barbara.
His legacy lives on in laughter, stories, and traditions. Ron’s journey may have ended, but his adventurous spirit, generous nature, and loving legacy will continue to guide those who knew him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A simple graveside service will be held Friday, July 11th 1:00 pm at Memorial Mountain View Cemetery: 3115 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121.
