Andrew Michael Bray passed away unexpectedly on June 20, 2023, in Nashville, TN.
Andy was born on May 7, 1986 and grew up in Salt Lake City, where he honed his adventurous spirit with sports, music, and friends. Andy’s early dream of becoming an NBA star was overtaken by his passion for music which was ignited in high school where he participated in the Spy Hop music program. He loved his first gig as the overnight DJ for X96 Radio. Andy graduated from Brighton High School and attended Salt Lake Community College and the University of Utah. He was creative, gifted, and caring, joyously sharing his zest for life and talents, playing guitar, drums, keyboard, uke and bass, writing and recording music, and displaying his DJ skills.
Whether at home, a concert or music festival, he was sure to have shared many laughs, and lots of love and music with you. You would have found him playing basketball, snowboarding or longboarding and living life to its fullest. Attending the Bonnaroo Music Festival near Nashville was an apt closing event for this amazing man with music in his heart.
As some of his friends so fittingly expressed, Andy was the brightest soul, the sweetest guy, always caring, genuine and positive.
Andy is survived by his dog Buddy, his parents Karen and Bruce, brothers Brian (Megan) and Greg (Brenna), and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and good friends.
We miss you, Andy!
