Anja Rosita Hatch passed away at the age of 74 on March 23, 2024, in West Valley City, Utah. She was born on August 21, 1949, in Amsterdam, Holland to Fok Knoppert and Johanna C Veenhof. She married her sweetheart, William David Hatch, on December 20, 1967.
Anja loved doing needlepoint, various crafting hobbies, and making jewelry for her friends and granddaughters. She thoroughly enjoyed being a crossing guard for her career. Anja adored the many dogs she owned and met in her life – especially Buddy and Sparky. Her heart was worn on her sleeve as she loved many people, and many people loved her.
Anja is survived by her husband, William David Hatch; her daughter, Tamara (Jesse) Mansanarez, her son, Davey Hatch, and daughter, Wendy Hatch; her seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; her sisters: Marianne (Gregor) Venetz, Els De Boer, and brother-in-law Rudy Hoole, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, Fok Knoppert, and mother, Johanna C. Veenhof; her brother Andre Knoppert, her sisters Alice Knoppert Hoole, and Johanna (Andy) Slinger.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 11:00 AM with viewing prior from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 4270 South Falcon Street, West Valley City, Utah.
Interment will immediately follow at the Utah Veterans Cemetery and Memorial Park (Camp Williams) 17111 South 1700 West, Bluffdale, Utah.
