Ann Thomson

Our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Ann Thomson, age 71, left this world suddenly on Wednesday, August 17th 2022. Ann was born on March 20th, 1951 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended South High School, and soon after married her high school sweetheart, eager to start a big beautiful family of her own. Ann was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was survived by her husband Dean Thomson, her five beautiful children, Matthew Thomson, Marilee Thomson (Rob White), Marci Gardner (Mathew Gardner), Melissa Thomson (Jarrod O’brien) and Marcus Thomson (Brandi Thomson) as well as her 11 wonderful grandchildren, her sister Janette Jeppesen and her beloved dog Oakley, who she loved so much. Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Lois and John Gatherum, and her brothers Ralph and Tim Gatherum.
In life, Ann loved spending time with family and spoiling her dog Oakley. Her grandchildren and her dog were the center of her universe. Anyone who knew Ann, was undoubtedly touched by her kindness and selfless heart. Although we lost a special woman, her bright light will shine forever in our hearts.
A private viewing will be held for the immediate family. Friends and family are welcome to say their final goodbyes at a graveside service held on Friday, August 26th from Noon until 2PM. Memorial Mountain View Cemetery 3115 East 7800 South Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121.
