ANNE M. VISSER RUECKERT 01/06/1915 to 05/21/2007

On May 21, 2007 our beloved family matriarch, she of loving heart and beautiful spirit, slipped quietly away. Her 92 year old body had completed its service to her vibrant spirit born Jan. 6, 1915, to Marinus and Maria Voigt Visser in Salt Lake City, she was the first of three. Apr. 16th, 1935, Anne married Walton M. Rueckert. Together they built the family home on redwood road and raised their family. As snowbirds, they enjoyed many winters together in Arizona. Three children, Mike, Jerry (Holly) and Judy (Elmer Hoppe) blessed her with 16 grandchildren, 48 'greats' and 7 'great-greats' who affectionately called her Nana. She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Mike and granddaughter, Linda Ann. Anne was an active LDS church member, faithful attendee and servant. She also found great joy in gardening, starting roses from cutting, her 'bottle babies.' In recent years, her crippled, arthritic fingers produced over 500 knitted caps for the humanitarian effort. Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 24, 2007, 11:00am at the Winder 8th Ward, 1361 East 4000 South, where friends may call at the church from 9:45am to 10:45am prior to services.
