Annette Ray Baum

d. Oct 6, 2026

Annette Ray Baum - daughter, sister, aunt, friend - left this world fighting the effects of cancer like a true champion to the very end on October 6, 2026. Her sense of humor was with her at all times. She was 58 years young.

Born to parents, Ross and Janet Baum, she graduated from Brighton High School and went on to receive a Marketing and Communications Degree from Westminster College. She worked for many years at AT&T and her more recent years for the US Postal Service in Salt Lake City.

Annette loved nature and wildlife. She walked the Jordan River Parkway (Germania Park) on a daily basis, taking photos and videos and sharing them with her family. She cared deeply for animals having many pets throughout her life. She is survived by two of them - Archie, a parrot and Oreo, a fluffy cat.

Annette was famous for her crochet animals and blankets and hats. They brought so much joy to everyone. Each family member’s home is FILLED with them.

She loved books, soap operas, visiting Arizona, taking cruises, walking in nature, singing with her parrot, always putting on chapstick and lotion, the Olive Garden, crochet, old Hollywood films and all things British Royal Family!

She is survived and deeply missed by her mother, Janet, her sisters, Lorraine, Julie and Colleen and her brother, Ross and his wife Jennie. She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews as well as nine grand nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank ALL (and there were many) of the doctors, nurses and staff at LDS Hospital. Your services were invaluable to giving us more time with Annette and you were all so kind.

Annette, we will miss your sense of humor, your hilarious birthday cards, your big blue eyes and beautiful long hair, your goofy laugh, your funny faces and your beauty, kindness and intelligence. Words cannot describe how much we love you or the joy you brought into our lives.

Say hello to Dad and Les for us.

Until we meet again, Nettie.

There will be Graveside Services and a Celebration of Life for Annette in the Spring of 2027. Please email colleenactress@gmail.com and you will be sent the details when they are available.
