Annette Erekson, age 66, passed away unexpectedly on April 22, 2026, in Daytona Beach, Florida. Born on January 12, 1960, in Salt Lake City, Utah, she was the daughter of Jonas Erekson and Laura Jorgenson.
Annette spent her early years in Salt Lake City and graduated from West High School in 1978. In 1989, she moved to Kelso, Washington, where she built her dream home alongside her parents and raised her family. A resident of Kelso for 33 years, Annette built lifelong friendships and was a welcoming presence as the longtime receptionist at Highlander Dental. She was a dedicated member of the Kelso Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and cherished her fellowship there. In recent years, she relocated to Ormond Beach, Florida, where she found great happiness.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Annette is survived by her children: Tamara (Brett) Hansen, Samantha (Jeremy) Mass, Brandon Knight, Tyler Bardonski, Steven Bardonski, Rhianna Bardonski, Robert Bardonski, and Laura Bardonski. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Jacob (22), Carter (17), Gavin (17), Xander (15), Lily (6), Ellie (4), Kaydence (4), and Elias (6 months).
The youngest of six children, Annette is survived by her siblings: Lorraine (Craig) Fox, Affel Erekson, Donald (Karen) Erekson, Sheldon Erekson, and Alice (Loane) Miller. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jonas and Laura and her sisters-in-law Gundi McClarin and Nezla Erekson.
Annette was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as an ordinance worker in the Bountiful and Deseret Peak Utah Temples. She will be remembered for her deep love of family, her compassion for children, and her lifelong service to others. Her legacy lives on through the many lives she touched and the family she built with love and dedication.
Annette was laid to rest beside her mother at Memorial Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery.
