Anthony Bushnell

July 18, 1987 — June 6, 2025

Anthony Stanley Bushnell, beloved son, partner, brother, father, and friend, passed away on Friday, June 6, 2025, at the age of 37. Anthony was born in Provo, Utah, on July 18, 1987, to Kevin Bushnell and Manon Alder.

Anthony grew up in Orem, Utah. From a young age, Anthony had an energetic and adventurous spirit. He loved sports and was naturally competitive, always eager to run faster, play harder, and win. He spent his childhood outdoors from sunup to sundown, exploring, playing, and getting into plenty of mischief along the way.

Anthony graduated from Mountain View High School, where he continued to pursue his love of athletics. He excelled on the cross-country team, track and field, and played football in his sophomore year.

He also had a deep love for music. Anthony enjoyed playing the drums, ukulele, guitar, and the guitalele—a hybrid of guitar and ukulele that he especially liked for its unique sound. Music brought him joy, peace, and a way to connect to others.

He had a kind and loving heart, and he cared deeply about people. He was known for his generosity, his laughter, and his ability to brighten a room. His love for nature guided him into landscaping, a profession he embraced with both skill and pride. It was his dream to one day own his own landscaping company—a goal that reflected his work ethic, creativity, and connection to the outdoors.

Anthony is survived by his loving partner, Sharlene Hernandez, and their cherished daughters, Leilani and Camille, and his beloved son, Micheal. He also leaves behind his parents, Kevin Bushnell and Manon Alder; and his siblings: Nalynn (Keith), Jeremy, Melinda (Bryant), Brandon, Heather (Brian), Miranda, Andrew (Camaro), Justin, Aubrey, Merissa, Anastaisha (Braden), and Lakayla (Brandon); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his brother, Jason Bushnell; grandfather, Zane Alder; grandmother, LuDean Alder; grandfather, Stanley Wardell Bushnell; grandmother, Colleen Bushnell; his aunt, Karen Washburn; and his uncle, Keith Alder.

Anthony’s legacy is one of compassion and perseverance. He will be remembered for his big heart, his love for the outdoors, his endearing sense of humor, and the warmth he shared with others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A private family viewing will be held on Saturday, June 14, at Lake View Mortuary, 1640 East Lakeview Drive, Bountiful, Utah, from 10:00-11:00 am. A memorial and graveside service to celebrate Anthony’s life will immediately follow at the same location. Family and friends are invited to attend.
