April Williams Blair Hagendorf, age 82, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2026, in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, and spent her life surrounded by family, friends, and the community she loved.
April was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend whose fun-loving spirit made her a joy to be around. She shared many wonderful years with her beloved husband, Robert Hagendorf, who preceded her in death in 2021. Together they traveled the world, embracing every adventure and creating memories that lasted a lifetime.
April dedicated her career to serving as an elementary school teacher, where she touched the lives of countless children with patience, kindness, and encouragement. Teaching was more than a profession to her — it was a reflection of her caring nature and her desire to help others grow.
Family was at the center of April’s life. She especially cherished taking her grandchildren, Amanda and Christopher, on adventures and creating special memories together. Nothing brought her greater happiness in recent years than spending time with her great-grandchildren, Diesel, Kendall, Zane, Waylon, and Maverick, whose lives were brightened by her love and enthusiasm.
April had a passion for reading and was an avid member of her book club, where she formed treasured friendships. She also loved camping, traveling, and simply enjoying time with the people she loved most. She adored her dogs, including Belle, and lovingly remembered her beloved dogs Max and Candy, who preceded her. Her warmth, laughter, and easy companionship made others naturally gravitate toward her.
A faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, April served and volunteered in many capacities throughout her life, offering her time and kindness to others for as long as her health allowed.
She is survived by her daughter, Brittany Blair; her grandchildren, Amanda Anderson (Weston) and Christopher Luke (Nikki); her great-grandchildren, Diesel, Kendall, Zane, Waylon, and Maverick; and her sisters, Vaunie Williams and Cozanne Ferree. She leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and devotion to family that will continue through generations.
The family expresses heartfelt appreciation to her devoted caregiver, Sela Hall, whose endless hours of loving care, kindness, and compassion brought comfort and support to April and her family, as well as EnHabit Hospice, especially her nurse, Mandy, and chaplain Desirea, for their compassionate care and support.
April will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Service and celebration of life details coming soon.
