Arlene Kranendonk Farrimond

Our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, Arlene Kranendonk Farrimond, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, surrounded by love.

Arlene was born on May 31, 1932, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Catherine and Gerrit Kranendonk. She was the youngest of eleven children and cherished her childhood, full of love, laughter, and strong family bonds.

Arlene was known for her fun-loving spirit, sharp wit, and fierce devotion to her family. She was sassy, strong, and full of life—tough as nails and endlessly caring. Her warmth and strength touched everyone who knew her.

She married the love of her life, John Farrimond, on January 22, 1956, and they were later sealed together in the LDS Temple. Their marriage was a true partnership built on love, faith, and mutual respect.

Arlene is survived by her children: Diane Baird, John Jr. (Kae), Jim (Cindy), Shauna Corless (John), Gerrit, and Carl. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that lives on through her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, all of her siblings, her husband John, her sons Dan and David, her daughter-in-law Cindy, and her granddaughter Megan.

Arlene’s life was a gift to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her humor, strength, and unwavering love.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. You may visit with the family at a viewing before services from 9:00 to 10:45 AM. Interment following services at Memorial Redwood Cemetery.
