Arvon Lee Rosenhan

July 24, 1931 — July 3, 2025

Arvon Lee Rosenhan passed away on July 3, 2025. Our sweet dad is survived by his children Gene (Jann) Ritchie, Mark Ritchie, Sr., Peggy Garcia, Bill Ritchie, Tom (Gina) Rosenhan, Victoria (Larry) Witherow; his sister Kristine and her husband David Tanner; his beloved grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews and their families, and his dear friends.

Born July 24,1931, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Arvon was the first son of Armin Alfred Rosenhan and Violet Elizabeth Christensen. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War and then in the Air National Guard of Utah. He was awarded a Bronze Star for his service. Arvon worked for 38 years in the airline industry; first for Western Airlines then for Delta Airlines.

Arvon met BarBara Lott Ritchie on a blind date and he married her, his soulmate, on September 4, 1965. Their marriage was solemnized in the Oquirrh Mountain Temple on June 19, 2014. He and BarBara started three successful small businesses, traveled the world together, and loved spending time with family and friends. He enjoyed Cottonwood Country Club gatherings, designing and building birdhouses and lamps, watching mysteries on PBS and car shows on MotorTrend, and making small talk while waiting in lines and riding on elevators. He also loved to read and go out to breakfast.

Arvon is preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother, two sisters, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law.
