Audrey Raymond Bateman "Ray"

Audrey Raymond Bateman, age 95, died Saturday, April 28, 2007, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born December 3, 1911, in Union, Utah the son of Lafayette and Ora Beeny Bateman. He attended Murray High and served his country in World War II. Ray married Doris Kimball on April 3, 1938. He retired from the U.S. Post Office in 1973. He was an avid bowler until March of this year. Ray also enjoyed long rides, eating breakfast out, western novels, baseball and fishing, but most of all his family and friends. He is survived by his daughters: Diane (Bob) Coe, Taylorsville, Sharon (Ken) Garrett, E. Wenachee, WA; son, Paul Bateman, East Millcreek; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren;15 great-great-grandchildren and sister-in-law Ruth Morris. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, his brother Bill Morris and Raefel Ressler Garrett, granddaughter. The family wishes to acknowledge Gina and staff at Caresource, his "gals" at Home Options and the CNAs at St. Marks. You made dad's last days comfortable and our life bearable. We feel blessed to have found you. A graveside services will be held Friday, April 4, 2007 at the Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 3142 East 500 South at 12:00 noon.
