Audrey was born in Lincoln, Idaho June 8, 1920 to Frank H. and Mabel McMullin Crofts. She resided there her young life, later moving to Idaho Falls, then to Utah where she met and married Ralph A Nielsen of Portage, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. Ralph was killed on the family ranch in 1951. She then fulfilled a 2 year LDS mission in the Central Atlantic states. After, she attended Weber State College and Hennigers Business College. She was active in the LDS Church much of her life, spending 30 years in the Stake and ward primary and relief society as well as many other organizations of the church. She later married Elton L. (Dan) Patch in 1957 where they made their home in Salt Lake City, later divorced. They had two daughters, Jody (Mark) Winters and Nancy Hooton (Lee Hooton). She worked at ZCMI and the Cameo Room for 20 years, she retired at age 77 when the store closed. She moved to South Jordan then to Herriman, Utah to be closer to her children and grandchildren, Nathan and Nikelle Hooton and Haylie Winters. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Lexie, Marjorie, Enid and brother Mac.
Survived by her children, sister-in-law Ethyl Crofts, nieces, nephews and 2 loving cats Razzy and Milo. A special thanks to the loving nurses from IHC Hospice Susie and Kristen.
Graveside service will be held Thursday, April 30, 2015 at 11:00am at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Dr.
