Barbara Eschler Wainwright, 90, returned to her Heavenly home on Thursday, October 13, 2022. Barbara was born on July 27, 1932 in Ogden, Utah to Alvin and Selma (Johnson) Eschler. She was the second of four daughters. She attended the University of Utah, and was an accordian teacher for Summerhays Music where she met her future husband while he was delivering music to the store. Barbara married Paul Wainwright in the Salt Lake Temple on June 25, 1954. Paul and Barbara formed a dance band, The Vibratones, and performed for several decades. They raised their three children in the East Millcreek area. They were married for 58 years before his passing in 2012. Barbara was a caregiver and second mother to everyone who needed it. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in several areas of the Church, but especially loved working with the primary children. She was a devoted mother, grandma, great-grandma, sister, and aunt. She loved spending time with family at her parents’ summer house in Paris, Idaho, and the cabin that she and Paul built in Glendale (family land) along the Weber River. Barbara is survived by her children, Mark (Lilyan), Brent (Kim), and Jennifer (David) Jolley, her sister, Karen Giles, along with fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She is proceeded in death by her husband, Paul, her parents, and sisters, Wanda Jones and Norma Loder. Special thanks to the care team at Auburn Crest Home Health and Hospice, especially her nurse Jacque, and the wonderful staff at Beehive Homes of Draper. Funeral Services will be held at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary and Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Blvd (7800 South), Cottonwood Heights, on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 11:00 with a viewing prior starting at 10:00.Service Information
