Barton Finlinson Shipley

Barton Finlinson Shipley passed away at home on May 19, 2011. Barton was born October 9, 1936 to Lee H. Shipley and Norine Finlinson Shipley in Oak City, Utah. He married Carol Ann Sharp on June 22, 1960, in the St. George LDS Temple.

Barton is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Sharp; children, Layne (Esther), Brook (Tiffani); grandchildren, Jeremiah, Gabriel, Spencer, Brigg, and Gracyn Merridee; Mother, Norine F. Shipley; siblings, Gordon (Joan), LaRae Summers, Wayne (Pamela), Frankie (Stan) Nielsen, Tom (Vicki), SuZann (Craig) Whitlock, George (MarKay), Noreece (Clark) Harward, Lela (Ken) Patrick; and sister-in-law, Sharon.

Preceded in death by his daughter, Merridee; Father, Lee H.; and brother, Kris.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at 12 Noon at the East Mill Creek Stake Center, 3103 East Craig Drive (3600 South). Friends and family can visit Monday evening at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and at the church Tuesday morning from 10:00 am to 11:30 am prior to the service.
