Betty Davis Blackner born May 14, 1937 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Bert Charles Davis and Dorothea Walton Davis.  Passed away peacefully to join her husband on March 19, 2022.

Betty grew up on Magna Mill property she loved playing in the Magna Drum and Bugle Corp.  She graduated from Cyprus High in 1955.  She attended BYU and graduated in elementary education in 1959.  She taught school at Webster and Lakeview Elementary.  She married her husband, Kay Eugene Blackner, in the Salt Lake Temple on March 30, 1961.  After her kids where in school she worked and retired with Division of Workforce Services.  Betty served an LDS mission with her husband at Welfare Square.

She enjoyed traveling, gardening, baking and sewing.  For many years loved square dancing and the close friends she made there.  She loved spending time with her family and friends playing all sorts of games.

Preceded in death by her parents and husband. Survived by three children: Charles Blackner of Salt Lake, Andrea Flandro of Oregon and Candace Gilson of South Jordan Also survived by 6 grandchildren who were the light of her life: Russell Jr, Christopher, Marquessa, Matthew, Tiandra and Marqus and 3 great grandchildren: Demarion, Dreyah, and Drecyn.

Graveside services will be held April 2 at noon at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park 3401 S Highland Drive, Millcreek, UT.  Friends may visit with the family prior to the graveside service at Holbrook Mortuary 3251 S 2300 E, Millcreek, UT 84109 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am.

The family wishes to thank her neighbors and the church members at Rosecrest 2 ward who watched over her the last few years and performed many acts of service and kindness.  They would also like to thank the many loving caregivers at both Intermountain Hospice and Sagewood at Daybreak that touched her life.
