Betty Christensen

Betty passed away peacefully of natural causes on the evening of July 23, 2022.Betty was born on November 22nd 1932 to Ira Hale Ratcliffe and Nora Lee Smith in Roanoake Virginia. Betty was the fifth of eleven children. In 1949 the family moved to Bountiful Utah she spent many summers in the orchard picking cherries. She graduated from Davis High School in 1951. Betty enjoyed daily walks, feeding birds, gardening, keeping the tidiest home in the neighborhood, collecting things from the Bradford Exchange, lengthy phone calls with her children and writing letters/cards to her children and grandchildren.
She married C. Dale Garringer in 1952 later divorced. Years later married Don Lloyd Christensen. She is survived by her two brothers Dale and Floyd (Roselinda) Ratcliffe and one sister Dorothy Hershi. As well as her three children: Shelah (Matthew) Gregory, Aubrey Garringer and Adrian Garringer and grandchildren: Dustin Madsen, Michael (Viri) Gregory, Sarah Jensen, Travis (Celeste) Gregory, Kerry Garringer, Jeremy Garringer, Meaghan (Cody) Andrus, Shannah (Brandon) Dennis, Caleigh (Kirk) Kirkland and Christy Garringer as well as twelve great grandchildren: Reyna, Zoe, Cash, Kane, Mercedies, Abish, Tristen, Evangeline, Aerith, Kendryck, Hawxley, Hugo and one on the way.
Preceded in death by her parents as well as both spouses seven siblings John, Irvin, Vangie, Sue, Mary Ann, Ruth, and Reva and by her precious great granddaughter Saylor Mae Dennis.
