Betty Donaldson

December 14, 1938 — May 10, 2026

Betty (Nana) Yvonne Bartlett Tune Donaldson returned to her Heavenly Father on May 10th, 2026. Betty was born at home on December 14th, 1938, in Sheffield, Alabama. She was raised in Nashville, Tennessee. As Betty always would say, “I was country when country wasn’t cool.” Betty resided in Cache Valley for many years before moving to the Salt Lake City area.

Betty was married to Charles Tune, later divorced. Betty married John (Jack) Donaldson on February 14, 1997, for all of time and eternity in the Salt Lake Temple. They were later sealed in the Jordan River Temple for all time and eternity. Jack and Betty were true soulmates and lived each day they had together for each other, enjoying everything that they did always together.

Betty spent her entire life working in professions that allowed her to use her warm and loving personality to enrich others' lives. Betty always had a listening ear for those that needed her; she listened to all. Betty knew no color, no status in life, no culture, or what you could do for her. No one could hug like her. Betty gave her love unconditionally to all she knew. Betty will be missed by her many friends and family.

Most of all Betty loved being a “Nana” to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, and they in turn loved her very much; she had so many precious memories of their growing years.

Betty was a convert to the church and loved the gospel with all her heart. She had many callings in the church and loved each and every one of them.

Betty was preceded in death by Jack Donaldson (10/16/2020), her mother Frances Harper, father Robert Bartlett, daughter Vicki Lynn Tune, grandson Zac (Zac-a-doo) Faulkner, and granddaughter Natalia Lopez.

Betty leaves behind daughters, Dian Tune, Shari Johnson, Teri & Scott Wilden, David & Linda Donaldson, Scott & Deanna Donaldson, Mark & Heather Donaldson, Cathie Donaldson, 33 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Memorial services to be held at the Memorial Mountain View Mortuary and Cemetery on May 15th, 2026, at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Memorial Mountain View after services.
