Betty Huber Easton was born May 7, 1930 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Louise and Fred Huber. She left us January 3, 2011 after a battle with breast cancer which she fought with grace, dignity, and always looking better than she felt.
We will remember Mom, her laughter, being with family, especially the babies, friends and good food. Mom used a lot of vinegar whether it was in the food or her wit and it was always just the right amount.
Mom and Dad met in college and married June 15, 1950, later solemnized in the Temple. Together they had seven children and opened their home to many more. We thank Mom for hosting our spontaneous swimming parties, for teaching our children to love books with her book basket, and for telling us "no" when we needed it. Most of all, we thank her for teaching us the meaning of family.
Mom founded Sew Right with her husband Don and partner Dora in 1985. With LaPriel, her dear friend, many women and children laughed, loved and sewed.
She is survived by her husband Donald; children David (Chris), Julie Gregersen (Rich), Mark (Sharon), Wendy Parker (Todd), John (Lynn), Jeff (Liz), Amy Martinez (Dan); 22 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters Evelyn, Barbara and JoAn; Sue, Loralee, and Kammy; many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by sisters Marilyn and Renee.
Special thanks to hospice staff Dana, Mike, and all others for their love and support. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to CNS Hospice.
