"Life is what you make it, and what you make it, is up to you!"
Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother made her life happy and wonderful until she was called home on February 9, 2015 at the age of 89 after suffering an accidental fall.
Beverly was an only child born to Clyde Anson Waddoups and Thelma Holbrook in Bountiful, UT. She graduated from East High School. Beverly met David Edward Seare in 1944, and after a whirlwind courtship they married on February 24, 1945, in the Salt Lake Temple. They shared 52 wonderful years together raising four daughters and one son. Dave passed away in 1997, and Beverly spent the next ten years involved with fun activities with her large extended family. To everyone's delight, she later met LaMar Day Ridd who became another great love and companion when they were married in 2007. Beverly gladly welcomed LaMar's children and grandchildren as her own.
Our mother was a real people person. She worked as a secretary in the Granite School District for over 20 years. Her wide circle of friends included church associates, book clubs, and women's groups. Beverly was a great listener and was truly interested in the lives of her family and friends. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and faithfully served in many callings including Relief Society President and teacher in all the organizations.
The family expresses thanks for the kindness and care given by the staff at Sunrise Assisted Living in Sandy during the last six months.
Beverly is survived by her husband, LaMar D. Ridd, children: Kristine (Jack) Clements, Suzanne (Gregory) Seal, David J. Seare (Becky), Lorie (Kevin) Jones, Annette (Rick) Smith, Kathy (Don) Wittke, Blaine Ridd (DeAnn), Darwin Ridd, Glade Ridd (Kami), Bonnie Ridd and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband David E. Seare and a son Kelly Ridd (Brande).
