Billy "Bill" Owen Hatch, a devoted husband, loving father, and proud Navy veteran, peacefully passed away at the age of 96 on December 5, 2023, at his home in West Haven, Utah, surrounded by his cherished family. Bill was born on August 17, 1927, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to William and Lucille Hatch.

On December 31, 1948, Bill married the love of his life, Patricia Carol Sullivan, and this year marked their remarkable 75th anniversary together.

Bill had a heart of gold, he loved and cared about all those around him. He was always a phone call away and would help anyone in need at the drop of a hat.

Bill's zest for life was evident in his love for outdoor activities. He reveled in hunting, fishing, camping, snowmobiling, and boating, creating enduring memories with his children and grandchildren. His skills in building and automotive craftsmanship were unmatched, earning him the reputation of being able to fix anything. Bill also cherished the camaraderie of a good card game, often shared with family and friends.

A proud veteran, Bill served in the United States Navy during both World War II and the Korean War.

For decades, Bill dedicated his professional life to the Southern Pacific Railroad, serving as a clerk until his well-deserved retirement in 1986.

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; daughters Kathy Pritchett, Sherrie Jones, and Dottie Hatch; and his sons Scott(Nancy), Stacy(Jennifer) and Tracy Hatch, Norman Hatch(brother), Darrell Hatch(brother), Patsy Turner(sister), 17 grandkids, 25 great grandkids plus 1 on the way, and 33 great great grandkids plus 1 on the way.

Billy Owen Hatch was preceded in death by his parents, Dennis Hatch (son), Darrell Pritchett(son-in-law), Jerry Jones (son-in-law),a great-grandson, four sisters, and seven brothers.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 10:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am. The services will take place at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, and Billy will be interred into the Memorial Redwood Cemetery immediately following the services.

For those unable to attend in person, the funeral services will be live-streamed on the obituary link.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Patricia Hatch in memory of Billy Owen Hatch.

May he rest in eternal peace, his legacy forever etched in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
