Billy Gene Stewart

Dear family and friends, It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Billy Gene Stewart (February 20, 1955 – March 19, 2026). Billy passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, with his niece, Holly, by his side.

Billy was born to Leland N Stewart and Joy Ann Stewart (Pelca) in Rifle Colorado, the youngest of four boys. Billy lived a life he was proud of and had no regrets. He grew up with a deep love for the outdoors, shooting, hunting, archery and especially exploring; he spoke of his adventures all across the Wasatch Front (and back).

On July 27 1991, he married Kandis McIntyre and began a new chapter of his life. He and Kandis were devoted to each other and enjoyed a very private life together. He was also deeply dedicated to his work as an electrician and his colleagues at Arco Electric. A man who found true contentment at home, Billy preferred staying close to his roots rather than traveling. While he and Kandis did not have children of their own, he was a constant source of support for his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his brother, Jim (Suzie) and many nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kandis; his parents, Leland and Joy; and his brothers, Larry and Tommy.

Please join us to celebrate his life and honor his memory. Services will be held Saturday, March 28 Cottonwood Memorial Mortuary 4670 Highland Drive, Holladay, Utah 84117.

Viewing will be at 1 pm, with the Funeral at 2 pm Internment will follow directly at Memorial Holladay Cemetery, 4900 South Memory Lane, Holladay, Utah 84117.
