In Loving Memory of Blayden Carson Jones

February 9, 1992 – July 30, 2026

With hearts full of love and profound sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, uncle, grandson, cousin, and friend, Blayden Carson Jones, who passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, at the age of 34. He was surrounded by the people who cherished him most, his devoted and adoring family.

Blayden faced cancer with extraordinary courage, strength, and determination. He fought like a warrior, inspiring everyone around him with his resilience, grace, and unwavering spirit. Through every challenge, he met life with remarkable bravery and an unbreakable will.

Music was one of the ways Blayden expressed who he was. Three of his favorite songs were My Way and That’s Life by Frank Sinatra, and If Ever I Stray by Frank Turner. Before countless appointments, Blayden would turn up the volume and blast these songs on the drive with his sister, Dad & Mom. He embraced these days with the same fearless attitude that defined his journey. They became more than favorite songs, they were a reflection of his strength, determination, and the way he chose to face life: on his own terms.

Blayden was incredibly funny. His quick wit and wonderful sense of humor remained with him until his very last breath.

While there are no words that can fully express the depth of our grief or the emptiness left by his absence, we are comforted knowing he is finally free from pain. We also find peace knowing he has been joyfully reunited with his beloved Uncle and friend, Russell Nielson; his precious cousin, McKenna Nielson; his favorite dog, Riley; his cherished great-grandparents; and his Heavenly Father.

Blayden embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. He loved traveling the world with his family and was always ready for the next adventure.

A true foodie, Blayden delighted in discovering new flavors and restaurants, with a special love for seafood. Exploring new places to eat was one of the many special bonds he shared with his mom, creating countless cherished memories together. During the final weeks of his cancer journey, we humorously managed to clear out Whole Foods’ entire supply of caviar, a memory our family will forever treasure, bringing smiles through our tears.

A gifted natural athlete, Blayden was hitting a baseball off a tee before he could even walk. He grew up excelling in hockey, lacrosse, snow skiing, golf, baseball, and dirt biking. He loved video games playing his favorite, MX Bikes on his steam deck right to the end. One of his father’s greatest joys was coaching him in lacrosse throughout his high school years, creating memories they both treasured.

Beyond sports, Blayden loved spending time with his friends, cousins, and especially his beloved baby sister, Brichon, who was often right beside him. Their bond was one of a kind, they were truly “thick as thieves.” She was not only his sister but also his best friend. Though her heart is forever changed by his loss, she now has another guardian angel watching over her, Baxter, Maverik, and their family with the same fierce love he always gave.

Growing up, Blayden always made people feel loved. He had a way of making everyone feel welcome, important, and cared for. Blayden’s greatest gift was his heart. He cared deeply for others and often worried more about the people he loved than he did about himself. His kindness, compassion, gentle spirit, and quiet strength touched countless lives.

Blayden is survived by his loving parents, Todd and Tamara Jones; his devoted sister and biggest fan, Brichon Julia Jones Durbin, and her husband, Baxter Durbin; his cherished nephew, Maverik Durbin; his beloved grandparents; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends whose lives were forever enriched by knowing him.

Although our hearts ache beyond measure, we are endlessly grateful that Blayden is ours. We could not be prouder to call him our son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, grandson, cousin, and friend. His love, courage, laughter, and gentle heart will remain with us always.

Blayden will be deeply missed, fiercely loved, and remembered every moment of every day. Until we meet again, you will forever be in our hearts.
