Bob Aaron Jones

Bob Aaron Jones, age 88. Died on January 10, 2026, in Cottonwood heights, Utah. He was born on November 22, 1937, in Mayfield, Utah to Thora and Aaron Jones. 

He enjoyed hiking and repelling down into caves. He helped build the Glen Canyon Dam. He retired from Utah Power & Light. He enjoyed camping and boating, especially Lake Powell. He was proud of his renovation of his Breeze Lake Resort on the Gulf of America/Mexico. He loved dogs! 

He is survived by his daughter, Sheri Lowrance, his sisters, Carolyn Ross, Sharon Schellinger, his brothers, David Jones and Scott Jones. A dozen nieces and nephews and two grandchildren, Jenise Lowrance and BrandyLynn Flagg and two great-grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his wife Diane, his parents and his brother, Phillip Jones. 

Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 11:00 AM, with a viewing at 10:00 AM at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary and Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121. 

Interment will be at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary and Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, Utah 84121.
