It is with heavy hearts and unending sadness that we announce Bradlee R Mackie, 41, has passed away peacefully in his sleep December 24, 2023. After nearly a month of battling health complications, this loss has left our lives a little colder.
Born May 17, 1982 in Salt Lake City, Utah to C. Rodney Mackie and Charon (Penrod) Mackie. Bradlee is survived by his father, two brothers, two sisters, and two children. He is preceded in death by his beautiful mother.
Although a loving son and caring brother, Bradlee’s greatest achievement in life has always been his children, Kamryn (15) and Skylar (10). They personify everything that was good in him - a masterful replication of his humor, kindness, and personality. His life is wholly reflected in their eyes and his effortless tender affection can be felt in their character.
Bradlee enjoyed comedy, the outdoors, and spending time with family. He was an accomplished artist, inspiring those around him to pursue an open mind and paths not traveled. His infectious laughter meant everyone around him was in on the joke, just another example of his approachable benevolence.
While he has gone where we can’t follow, there will never be a moment he isn’t remembered, a memory that won’t be cherished, or a thought that drifts by without picturing him.
Bradlee’s family urges you hold those you love dear, and check in on them regularly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Memorial Redwood Mortuary & Cemetery; 6500 S. Redwood Road, West Jordan, UT 84123 on January 13, 2024 from 11am to noon. Bradlee would encourage you to dress casually and comfortably.
