Brenna Lynn Reynolds

June 20, 1979 — April 25, 2025

West Jordan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic and untimely passing of Brenna Lynn Reynolds, who left this world far too soon, after a tragic car accident on April 25, 2025, at the age of 45.

On June 20, 1979, Brenna was the first of six siblings born to her parents, Gary and Joni. Brenna was also the first grandchild on both sides of her family. She naturally became a second mother to her younger brother, Bobby, and four younger sisters, Ashley, Aubrey, Chelsea, and Caitlin.

Family was the heart of her world. She was the loving and loyal wife of Kristopher Reynolds, and the most caring, loving and compassionate mother of her two children, River and Sevan, who were, without question, the greatest loves of her life. Although she had plenty of room in her heart for her many treasured nieces and nephews that she spoiled at every holiday.

For 27 years, Brenna worked with the U.S. Postal Service, earning the admiration of coworkers and the appreciation of her community. Her work ethic was steadfast, and her kindness left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered on her route, though she did not shy away from telling someone to leave her alone so she could get her work done.

Brenna was curious, vibrant, and full of life. She was the kind of person who saw the world not just as a place to live, but as a vast canvas to explore—whether skydiving from the clouds, backpacking through the cobblestone streets of Europe and the pyramids of Egypt, glamping in her beloved, cozy RV beneath the stars, or digging her toes into the sand and sunbathing on the many tropical beaches she traveled to. She brought light and laughter wherever she went, embracing the world with open arms and an open heart.

Brenna loved music and the arts and would never pass up watching a concert or play. From the many known and unknown artists/actors she loved to watch live, River and Sevan, of course, were her favorites. Brenna was also a devoted reader with an endless thirst for knowledge. Brenna found joy in the pages of novels; her love for stories carried her across countless pages. She freely shared her favorite books for all to share in her knowledge and adventures through the written word.

Brenna thrived on adventure and the thrill of new experiences. She lived boldly and fearlessly, never shying away from trying something new and always eager to meet new people, share a story, or lend a helping hand. Brenna had a magnetic personality that drew people in. She was never a stranger for long, finding connection in every conversation, joy in every gathering, and family in every friend. Her passion for life was contagious—she inspired those around her to say yes more often, try new things, and savor every moment.

Though her life was cut tragically short, Brenna leaves behind a legacy of love, curiosity, and kindness. She showed us how to live fully, love deeply, and adventure boldly.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kristopher Reynolds, her beloved children, River and Sevan, her parents, Gary Bown and Joni Peterson, her brother Bobby Bown (Bethany), her sisters Ashley Bown (Michael Klotovich), Aubrey Bown (Tyler Carlson), Chelsea Garcia (Osbaldo), Caitlin Montoya (Don), her numerous nieces and nephews, and a wide circle of family and friends who will forever miss her radiant presence.

A celebration of her life will be held on May 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Memorial Redwood Mortuary located at 6500 South Redwood Rd, West Jordan, UT. An evening viewing will also be held at the same location on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. A luncheon for the family and close friends will follow the service at the LDS church located at 3704 West 9625 South, South Jordan, UT.

In honor of Brenna, the family encourages attendees to wear vibrant colors, just as she would have wanted.

She will be missed beyond words and remembered forever.
