Brent Lynn Greenwall passed away peacefully on May 31st, 2025 after a long-term battle with Parkinson’s Disease.

Brent was born July 23rd,1957 in Salt Lake City and raised around the Butler area. His childhood was filled with fond memories of Virginia Hills Drive. It was a place filled with many adventures and great friends. His love for mechanics began at a young age and he bought his first car before he turned sixteen and fixed it up. He was always working on something in his teen years. He graduated from Brighton High School and served a Latter-day Saint Mission in Birmingham, England. After returning home, he learned welding, machining, and other trades that contributed to his career as a diesel mechanic. He married Cynthia McKinley in 1980. They had just celebrated 45 years of marriage. In his younger years, you could find him dirtbiking, waterskiing, and off-roading. After working various jobs, Brent found his home at Maxway trucking where he worked for over 25 years. He loved his job and what he got to do every day. He was very talented with his hands. He could fix just about anything you put in front of him and was always helping someone with a project.

Brent has four daughters who he loved spending time with. Their favorite times together include spending time at the shop, going on weekend drives in the semi, off-roading, participating in and going to demolition derbys, and coaching softball. His daughters also inherited his love for oldies and classic rock.

Brent was a comedian and always had a joke or witty comment to share. He loved Nascar and you could always find him watching the races on Sunday afternoons. He loved to help people, and because of his skills, he was able to help a lot of people whether it was rescuing them on the side of the road, fixing a car, helping finish a basement, or pouring cement. Before his Parkinsons started limiting him, he served the elderly over at the Crosslands branch and loved being able to visit and serve them.

Brent had a testimony and strong faith in his Savior and would share his love for the gospel through his example and simple words. He will be deeply missed, but we are grateful that he can be free from his body that was limiting him from the things he loved and is now in a place of peace and joy.

Brent is survived by his wife Cindy, four daughters: Shana (Rob), Brindy (Travis), Briana (Steve) and Shaylyn (Jordan); seven grandchildren: McKaila, Gentry, Makendrie, Archer, Avenue, Zane and Brooklyn; five siblings, and many other family and friends who meant a lot to him in his life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ailene Greenwall.

We would like to extend a huge thanks to Canyon Homecare and Hospice and all those who lovingly cared for Brent with his Parkinsons.

Services will be held June 5th,11:00 am at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary, 3115 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights.
