Beloved father, husband, grandfather, brother, and friend, Bud Dean Christensen passed away on November 16, 2008 surrounded by his family. He was born May 30, 1936 to Dean and Edna Christensen. Bud died courageously after battling Polycystic Kidney Disease for many years. Bud married his sweetheart, Adri Ann Odell on June 25, 1954 and he cherished her for all those 54 years. Together they raised eight children. In 1957 Bud and Adri Ann started Bud Christensen Painting which later became Professional Painting Inc. He cherished the opportunity to travel around the world to work in the LDS temples. Bud was an active member of the LDS Church and spent many hours in the gym and on the baseball field. Bud enjoyed life. He was an avid U of U fan. He loved hunting, fishing, and camping. His greatest joy was spending time at Bear Lake with his family.
God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, so He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come with Me." With tearful eyes we watched you slowly fade away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest, God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best. It's lonesome here without you, we miss you more each day. Life does not seem the same since you have gone away. When days are sad and lonely and everything goes wrong, we seem to hear you whisper, "Cheer up and carry on". Each time we see your picture you seem to smile and say, "Don't cry, I'm in God's keeping. We'll meet again someday.
Bud is survived by his wife, Adri Ann; and his eight children, Russell (Debra), Chad (JoAnn), David (Holly), Doug (Debbie), Michelle (Mike) Funk, Carrie (Robert) Kelsey, Jason (Cynthia), Missy (James) Morse; sisters, Nancy (Ralph) Kramer and Dale Jean Martinez. Bud has 28 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Barbara Reynolds, and Connie Short; and grand-daughter, Annie.
