Buoy Ly

February 16, 1951 — August 7, 2025

With hearts full of love and sorrow, we share the passing of Buoy Ly, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, who left us peacefully, surrounded by her family.

Buoy was born on February 16, 1951, in Cambodia. On October 16, 1970, she married her beloved husband, beginning a partnership built on love and devotion. In 1980, with incredible courage and determination, she came to the United States to begin a new chapter of her life. Through every challenge, she built a home filled with love, resilience, and the joy of family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, whose memory she carried in her heart every day. She leaves behind her loving husband, Sok Tann; her children, Kheang Tann (Sivly) with grandchildren Veronica and Kevin, Heang Tann (Hout) with grandchildren Kayla and Brandon, and Patricia (Tikkun) with grandchildren Valin, Rohan, and Lauren. She is also survived by her cherished mother, Sim Lim, two brothers, and two sisters, who will forever hold her close in their hearts.

Buoy was a woman who made life more beautiful simply by being in it. She had a gift for making others feel cared for, whether through a warm meal from her treasured recipes, a thoughtful gesture, or her gentle smile. She found happiness in traveling, tending to her garden, and creating special moments with those she loved most.

Her love, laughter, and kindness will continue to echo in the lives she touched. While she may no longer be with us, the warmth she gave so freely will live on in our hearts and in the stories we share about her.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the lasting legacy she leaves behind.
