It is with great sadness that we share with you the passing of our beloved husband, brother, and friend Quentin Wheat who passed away April 27, 2014, in Saint George, Utah
He was born February 13, 1939 to Claude and Elizabeth Stillman Wheat in Salt Lake City, Utah.
He was an avid outdoorsman and always an East Millcreek boy. After retirement from CCI Mechanical, he moved to the beautiful home, that he called his "cabin," which he built in Manila, Utah. He loved spending time there and boating on Flaming Gorge.
His honesty and integrity blessed many lives. He worked hard all of his life and could be counted on to do more than his share. He was able to construct and fix anything. Be it a new build or rebuild there are few places in his community in Manila that do not have his helping touch.
He has gone on to a much better place but we know his favorite reply would be that he is "Just Right!"
He is survived by his beloved wife Mary and family, brother William (Florence) Wheat, sister Adelle (Richard) Dorrance. Preceded in death by his parents, wife Joyce Morris Wheat, son Mark Wheat, daughter Lori Wheat, grandson CJ Wheat, and sister Selina (Sally) Worrell.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 11:00 am at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends may call at the mortuary prior to services 9:30am-10:30am and Friday, May 2, 2014 from 6-8 pm. Interment will be Monday, May 5, 2014 at Noon at the Manila City Cemetery, Manila Utah.
