Calvin Kay Sharp, 74 of West Jordan passed away peacefully surrounded by family members on August 14,2023. He was born on March 25,1949 to Earl and LaRue Sharp in Murray, UT.
For over 20 years he in worked in construction as a drywaller. In June of 2022 he finally decided to retire after 43 years of dedicated employment at Evans and Sutherland. He especially loved snowplowing and refused to let anyone else do this job.
Calvin married his beautiful wife Jolene on September 9, 1972, celebrating just shy of 51 years of marriage. They have 4 children.
He loved hunting, fishing, and camping. Spending time with his wife, kids and grandchildren. Watching Dallas Cowboys football, NCIS and the A&E channel. His last hunt was in 2016 with his daughter Stephanie and son in law Brad. His greatest accomplishments were being married to his wife for 50 years, his 5 children, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
He is survived by his wife Jolene, children Jennifer (Rick), Stephanie (Brad), Jodi (Mark), Chad (Liz), Heath (Jamie) 11 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and his sister Shirley.
Calvin was preceded in death by his dad and mom, his siblings Gene, Gary, Keith, Dennis, Mary, and twin sister Carolyn. In laws William and Lavon McKenna and his shih tzu Jasper.
A viewing will be held at Redwood Memorial Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah on Monday August 21, 2023, from 10:00-11:45 am followed by a service and burial at 12.
