Carl Ray Jackson, 56, of Taylorsville, Utah, passed away April 3, 2026, surrounded by loving family.
He was born on October 02, 1969, in Murray, Utah, to Sherry Morrow and Carl Jackson.
Ray-Ray worked as a superintendent in the asphalt and paving industry, helping to pave many roads for over 25 years. He was considered by many to be the best boss anyone could ever have. As well as being a hardworking man who always got the job done and kept pushing forward.
He is survived by his daughters Tanisha ( Cory), Briaunna, Alexina, and many more children he considered his own. His grandchildren: Briyonna, Cayson, and Morgan. Plus many, many family and friends! Siblings: Kim (Angie), Tammy ( Mike), Darrin (Terrie).
Preceded in death by: parents Sherry and Carl (Nettie), siblings: Terry, Ronnie (Jody Lynn), and niece: Melissa
He was known for his incredible sense of humor and his ability to make friends wherever he went. He had a way of lighting up every room he entered with laughter, whether it was with a story, a grin, or one of his perfectly timed comments. Anyone who knew him knew how much he loved eagles. He especially loved riding his motorcycle along the coast (or anywhere really), feeling the freedom of the open road, and traveling to new places across different states. Ray-Ray found peace in the simple beauty of nature. He was the kind of person you could never forget. People were naturally drawn to him, and you could count on him, no question asked.
My father, Ray, was a shining light to all he met. To know Ray was to know unconditional love. To love him was an incredible gift! He will forever be remembered as Superman!
