Carla C Grist

Our adored wife, mommy, grandma, daughter, sister, and friend, Carla C. Grist passed away unexpectedly on March 26, 2016 at her home with her loving family by her side.

Daughter of Lamoine F. Christian and Carol P. Christian, married Robert K. Grist on May 14, 1976. Carla worked tirelessly to provide a loving home for her family. She always did that little something extra to make every occasion special. She was our superhero, the crazy glue that held our family together. She will be sorely missed. Carla had huge capacity for love, and welcomed both friends and family into her heart.

Carla was preceded in death by her father; brother, Laine E. Christian; and both her mother-in-law and father-in-law. She is survived by mother; husband; children, Carrie Grist, Christy Grist (Brad), Robbie Grist; three adored grandchildren, Sabrina, Skylar, Tatum; brother, Drew Christian (Angie); sisters, Debbie Clark (AB), Tracy (Jay), Mary Simmons (Joe); along with many nieces and nephews who will miss her terribly.

The void she leaves will never be filled.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 11:00 am at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 So. 2300 East. Friends and loved ones may visit on Wednesday evening, March 30, 2016 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Holbrook Mortuary and from 9:30-10:30 am prior to services.
