Carmen Maria Lujan

Carmen Maria Lujan, born on July 16, 1931, in Taos, New Mexico, passed away on December 3, 2023 in West Jordan, Utah at the age of 92. She married Daniel J. Lujan on October 31, 1950.

Carmen loved being with family, cooking, and family gatherings. Carmen owned and operated her own cafe, Carmen’s Cafe, which was hugely successful. She loved Wendover, Las Vegas, gambling, and The One Arm Bandit. Carmen also loved her weekly lunches with her family and loved her family unconditionally. She will be greatly missed. Carmen is survived by her daughters, Lillian Domingues and Kathy Peck, and by her sons, Daniel W. and Shelly Lujan, John and Tracy Lujan, and Randy and Stacie Lujan, and by her 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Also, the many relatives and loved ones from Taos, New Mexico.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 73 years, Daniel J. Lujan, son-in-law, Larry Peck, and by her mother Amelia Maestas.

Services will be held for immediate family only. A Celebration of Life is to be held for friends and family sometime next year.
