Carol Ruth Bath Christie

Carol Ruth Bath Christie passed away May 6, 2009 in Bountiful, Utah. Born April 7, 1928, the daughter of Simon Laurence and Ruth Lindberg Bath. She served a LDS mission to the East Central States in 1951 and had many assignments in the church as a leader and teacher. She married Kenneth Porter Christie on April 26, 1955 in the Salt Lake Temple. She worked as a secretary with the Department of Agriculture. She was a member of the Professional Secretaries International and CPSA West.

Carol was a very sweet and unassuming lady who was loved by many. She was meticulous in her looks and dress and kept her shining black hair neat and clean until the last few years of her life. She and her husband loved to spend time together working in their yard.

She spent the last few years of her life in care centers. She has two very special friends, Joyce Juchau and Margaret Jones who continued to care for her and visit her regularly during her long illness and help Carol make important decisions regarding her health.

She is survived by her brother Lee Bath of San Francisco, CA and her brother-in-law Paul (Connie) Christie of Sandy, UT; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth and sister, Eva Bath Stockham.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 11, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 1750 East 3300 South.
