Carol Ann Sharp Shipley

Carol, age 79 passed away peacefully in her home early Friday morning, December 28, 2018 after suffering a stroke several days prior.  She was born in Barboursville, West Virginia, the daughter of Vernon and Velva (Morrison) Sharp.  Carol married Barton Finlinson Shipley June 22, 1960 in the St. George LDS Temple.

Carol dedicated her life to serving and helping others.  She played the piano and organ for most of her life and shared those talents enlightening the lives of those around her.

Carol is survived by her children Layne (Esther) Shipley, Am. Fork, UT and Brook Shipley, SLC, UT; 5 grandchildren; and brother, Robert (Esther) Morrison Sharp, Vancouver, WA.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Barton F. Shipley; daughter, Merridee; sisters, Patricia Rose Sharp Johnson, and Gloria Jean Sharp Kirk.

Services will be held Friday, January 4, 2019, at 11:00 AM at the LDS Chapel located at 3408 So. Celeste Way.  Friends and family may come for visitation prior to the funeral service from 9:30 to 10:30 am.  Interment at Oak City Cemetery.
