Caroldeen Brown Norris passed away peacefully in her home on September 4, 2026, surrounded by the love that she had spent her life giving to others.

Carol grew up in Draper, Utah, where she began a life filled with family, friendship, and love. She met her husband, Nolan, and it was love at first sight—for him. He promptly proposed on their first date (she said no to this proposal and the four or five after it). They did finally marry in November of 1983 and spent the next 42 years happily building a life together and raising their three children, Josh, Amber, and Heather.

Carol spent many years being a second mom to everyone around her. She was the fun mom—the one who made ordinary days special. She was the mom you found yourself sharing your secrets with. She was the mom who would check you out of school just to spend a day having fun. She was the mom who would open her home and take you in when you had nowhere else to go.

And that never changed.

If you knew Carol, you were family. Her home was a place where everyone was welcome, and she had a way of making people feel loved, accepted, and at home. She gave freely of herself and never hesitated to be there for the people she loved.

Carol was also a proud Nana to her four grandchildren, Darien, Jaiden, Makaya, and Teegan. She treasured her time with them and loved nothing more than spoiling them and making memories they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Carol.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Nolan; her three children, Josh, Amber, and Heather; and her four grandchildren, Darien, Jaiden, Makaya, and Teegan.

Carol's greatest legacy will not simply be the years she lived, but the countless people who felt loved because she was in their lives. She was a wife, mother, Nana, friend, and second mom to many. Her love, laughter, generosity, and open heart will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A viewing will be held at 5905 s 4000 w in taylorsville ut on Friday September 18th 11:30am-12:30 pm followed by services. She will be laid to rest at Memorial Lake hills Mortuary 10055 s state street directly after.
