Carole Ilean Drage Elton

July 9, 1938 — December 8, 2012

WE ALL LOVE YOU!!

Our loving Wife, Mother, Sister and Grandmother passed away peacefully at home Saturday, December 8, 2012. She was an amazing woman born to Harold and Ilean Drage on July 9, 1938. She married the love of her life, Dan K. Elton, on February 21, 1958 by a great family friend, Harold B. Lee in the Salt Lake Temple.

Carole enjoyed traveling the World as a Military wife with her husband and six children. Even though she was able to experience this beautiful World, there was never a better place than Home.

Her home was her haven. She decorated every nook and cranny with her beloved treasures and could share a story about each and every one. She had an avid love of music and art and would often be found in her craft room tole painting, sewing, or simply creating.

Dan and Carole served an LDS Spanish speaking Mission in Chicago, IL. where they touched many lives with their uncanny ability to make people feel important and loved.

She was always thinking about what she could do for others. She loved the Festival of Trees and donated her time and talents in decorating trees and homemade gifts. She cherished the moments with Santa, as Mrs. Clause and could think of nothing better than contributing to the magic of Christmas. She received tremendous joy in the celebration of giving and aiding in great causes.

She taught us to make friends and to be a good friend. She taught us to be a good neighbor, to have patience, to forgive, to be strong, and above all cherish our Families and serve the Lord.

She will be sorely missed by her loving Husband of 54 years Dan, 4 Children: Ilene (Mike), Mark (Michelle), LeAnn (Doug), (Morshell), Holly (Dan), 23 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren, dearly loved Sisters, Brother and Sister in-laws and many extended Family members and Friends. We take great comfort in knowing she rejoiced when she was reunited with her Mother and Father, her Mother-In-Law Lillian, her brother Vaughn, her Grandson Lindsey... But most importantly, her Children Cheri and Stan.

A Valiant daughter of God... You will be forever in our hearts and the lessons you taught us will forever be engrained in each and every one of us.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 11:00am at the Wasatch 9th LDS Ward building, 3625 East Doverhill Drive (7660 South).
