Carolee D Witter

May 1, 1950 — August 4, 2025

Carolee D. Witter, our cherished wife, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on August 4, 2025, surrounded by her beloved family and the love of her life, her eternal companion, Robert.

Born on May 1, 1950, in Salt Lake City, Utah, Carolee was the daughter of Arza John Draper and Shirley Tucker Draper. She met her sweetheart, Robert, in 1968 while working at Lerner Shops. They were married on August 17, 1971, and later sealed in the Jordan River Temple on their 48th wedding anniversary, August 17, 2019.

Carolee had a deep love for crafting and delighted in sharing her handmade creations with loved ones, especially during the Christmas season. She also found great joy in spending time outdoors on the farm, boating, fishing, camping, and hunting alongside her husband and family. Carolee will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, playful spirit, and generous heart.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Robert, and her brothers, Lonnie Draper and Alan Aerts. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shirley T. Aerts and Arza J. Draper; stepfather, Abie J. Aerts; sisters, Joan Barnson and Emily Johnson; and brothers, Larry Maloof and John Draper.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Mark Lewis, her oncologist, as well as Intermountain Hospice for their compassionate care. Special thanks also go to their ward members and neighbors for their many acts of love and kindness.

A viewing for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Memorial Redwood Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, West Jordan, Utah. An additional viewing will take place on Wednesday, August 13, from 10:00 to 10:45 AM, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM at the same location.
