Carolina “Carrie” Silva Quintana Martinez

Carrie Martinez of West Valley passed away May 3, 2014. Born February 3, 1923 in Las Vegas, New Mexico to Pansy Silva. Married Joseph Quintana; later divorced. Married Mike Martinez. Carrie worked hard her whole life. She loved to cook, sew and attend garage sales. She had a heart of gold and gave of her time to everyone who sought her help. Survived by husband, Mike; sons, Robert (Esther) Quintana and Eugene Quintana; step-children, Liz, Gloria, Robert, Mike Jr., Mark, Maxine, Christine and Joanne Martinez; many grandchildren and extended family. Preceded in death by her son, George Quintana. Vigil, followed by Rosary will be held Friday, May 9th, 6 – 8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 So. Redwood Rd. Mass will be held Saturday, May 10th, 9:00 am at St. Therese Catholic Church, 624 Lennox St. in Midvale. Interment to follow at Redwood Memorial Park in West Jordan. Special thanks to caretakers, nieces, Martha Martinez and Pamela Martinez-Ramos, and Alexandra Segura of Hearts for Hospice for the help, love and support they gave to Carrie.
