Carolyn Wilde Pappadakis

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of Carolyn Wilde Pappadakis, age 80, who peacefully left us on March 12, 2026, in West Jordan, Utah. Carolyn was born on April 8, 1945, in Park City, Utah, to Gladys Emma Judd Wilde and Byron Farnsworth Wilde. She shared a lifetime of love and partnership with her devoted husband, John Nick Pappadakis, whom she married on April 23, 1966.

Carolyn lived life with joy, warmth, and a love for adventure. She cherished traveling, spending time with her family, crocheting, sewing, and riding 4-wheelers. She had a spirited love for life and never passed up the simple pleasures—a cold beer or a glass of wine enjoyed on a cabin porch or along the beach in Mexico. Her laughter, warmth, and sense of fun made every gathering brighter and every memory richer.

She is survived by her loving husband John, her daughters Jamie (Rosa) and Julye (Scott), and her five treasured grandchildren: Jaycee, Analaya, Drayden, Kostas, and Kallista. Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved daughter Jill, her parents Gladys and Byron, her brother Frank, and many cherished aunts and uncles.

Carolyn’s love for her family was the center of her life. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her adventurous spirit, and the many joyful moments she created with those she loved. Her memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and traditions she leaves behind.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Murray Mortuary, 5850 South 900 East, Murray, Utah. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Carolyn’s remarkable life.

In honor of Carolyn’s laid-back spirit, guests are encouraged to dress comfortably. She was happiest in her jeans and t-shirts, so please come as you are and feel free to keep things casual.

In lieu of flowers the family is accepting donations to plant trees for Carolyn at the family cabin.
