Carolyn C. Reaveley

Carolyn Clark Reaveley, 73, passed away surrounded by her family October 14, 2014. She fought courageously with dignity and smiles after a long period following a severe stroke July 28, 2014.

Carolyn was born the fifth child and third daughter of Arthur O. Clark and Mary J. Whittier on September 26, 1941 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was loved as a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.

She grew up in Holladay, Utah and graduated from Olympus High School. She was an active member the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many position in the different auxiliaries. She loved growing up in the Holladay 3rd Ward and attending her meetings and activities in the Primary and the Young Women.

Carolyn married her high school sweetheart, Ronald Reaveley in 1959 and they were later sealed together in the Salt Lake Temple on February 1, 1961.

Carolyn's husband, children, and extended family were her life. She always supported them and was Ron's #1 fan at the many sports he participated in.

Carolyn became an expert on computers when the PC first appeared. She loved to prepare documents using Word and Excel and then dressing up the documents with various clip art programs. She became very proficient in genealogy research using the LDS Church software on her computer. She served as secretary of various organizations for many years because of her computer skills.

Among Carolyn's passions were all kinds of sports. She loved swimming, water skiing, snow skiing, boating, tennis, & teaching aerobics up to 10 classes per week. She loved the out-of-doors where she hiked, camped & rode off-road ATV's frequently with her family.

Carolyn is survived by her husband, Ron and three children; Marianne Mills (Clay), Daniel, and Lorianne Martineau (John); her brother, Kent Clark; along with 15 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 sons, John, Douglas and James; sisters, Mary Louise Carlson and Alice Rae Clark, and a brother, Dean Clark. Funeral services will be held Sat., Oct. 18, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Valley View 4th. Ward, 2125 E. Evergreen Ave (3450 S.), where friends may visit with the family from 11:30 am a
