Carolynn Louise Bockholt Hendricks age 87 died on December 29, 2022 in Taylorsville, Utah. She was born on May 27, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Carole M Hansen and Walter Bockholt. She married Darrell S Hendricks. She was raised most of her life by her Grandma Rose and Grandpa Pete Hansen who she loved very much.
Carolynn graduated in 1953 from West High School in Salt Lake City, Utah. In 1954 she graduated from beauty college and did hair out of her home for many years. She worked for Zims Craft store before going out to the Salt Lake City Airport working for Marriot Food Service loading the planes.
Mom was the best stay at home mom most of her kids growing up years. She had the biggest heart and would do anything to help anyone. She would often be found taking food to the homeless, teaching crafts to her children and neighbors, giving her children all kinds of lessons, and being the number one taxi driver for co-workers, her children, and neighbors. She was a great artist in her younger years. She seldom took time for herself. Her children were her life.
She loved to roller skate with her kids at classis roller skating rink. She was very good at dancing on her skated until her knees got too bad to continue, (that was a very sad day).
Holidays brought her great joy, especially Halloween. She made the most unique costumes and loved to dress up.
Surviving Carolynn are her children: Steve Hendricks, Kamie Vailea, Brad Hendricks, and Sheryl Hendricks; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; a very special angel on earth daughter, Donna Goeller; and step-brother, Wayne Roderick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Darrell Hendricks; daughter, Wendy Eggleston; Mother, Father, stepfather, and grandparents; one brother and one sister.
Funeral services will be held for Carolynn at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, at Memorial Redwood Mortuary and Cemetery, 6500 S Redwood Road. A viewing will be held at the Mortuary on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service. Interment will in Memorial Redwood Cemetery following the funeral service.Service Information
