Casey Ann Draper returned to her loving Heavenly Father on January 19, 2026 at her home in Nibley, Utah. Casey’s family is comforted that she is no longer suffering, after a painful and difficult journey with Pancreatic Cancer.
Casey was born March 24, 1978 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Being the oldest of her siblings, Casey’s early years were often spent helping with her younger brother and sisters, reading frequently, attending church activities, playing sports and she even had a cake making company with her best friend. In the year 2000 her family grew with the addition of her step-dad and his incredible children. She loved the relationships that came from these bonus siblings.
Casey graduated from Brighton High School in 1996. She spent two years at Snow College where she received her Associates Degree. Casey returned to Cottonwood Heights graduating from the University of Utah with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. She later completed her Masters of Education, numerous teaching endorsements and even recently completed her Instructional Coach Certification. Casey loved learning and helping others in their educational journey.
Casey served for 18 months in the Greensboro, North Carolina mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved teaching and serving the people of North Carolina. The incredible lifelong friendships she made with a number of fellow sister missionaries is something she greatly cherished. Casey’s faith was a guiding principle throughout her entire life.
Throughout her 22 years in education, Casey touched the lives of so many children and their families. Students from early in her career are adults now and many have reached out with memories of their amazing teacher Ms. Draper. She was always hardworking and a huge support to her teaching teams.
One of Casey’s most incredible skills was collecting many friends throughout each stage of her life. Casey was known to her friends for being extremely thoughtful, giving and always showing kindness.
Casey loved her animals, friends and family most of all. She loved being outdoors, especially the mountains were a special place to her. She loved paddleboarding, kayaking, hiking, snowshoeing, traveling to beaches and chasing the sun.
Casey was so many things to the people that love her. She was a daughter, sister, aunt, friend, teacher, colleague and neighbor. She especially loved being Aunt Casey and had a talent for spoiling her nieces and nephews.
Casey is preceded in death by her grandparents Kendall Draper, Diane Draper, Doris Draper, F. Wayne Volz, LaRene Volz, Aunt Suzan Volz and Uncle Roger Volz.
Casey is survived by her parents: David Draper (Nadyne), Wendy Martin (Jeffrey).
